Brooklyn's Baby Dedication

Brooklyn was dedicated at Bent Tree Bible on October 24th. It was a great morning of dedicating our precious little girl to the Lord with lots of family there. We were a little late in dedicating the boys too, so all of our children were dedicated right before or after their 1st birthday.

We had a lot more family there although they weren't documented in the pictures. The dedication was at the beginning of the service and right after the dedication we headed back to pray individually with an elder. Instead of having everyone file out of the service and pray with us, we just had the grandparents and Aunt Shara join us. That is why those are the only pictures we have. After the service there were tons of people everywhere and I forgot to bring my camera to lunch afterwards. Thanks to all the family that came: Brock, Erin and boys; the Lott Clan; and Uncle Steve!

Later that day helping mom clean out the pantry. What a great helper!

Great Pics of Ben's Soccer

We were fortunate to have a professional photographer come to Ben's soccer game and take fabulous action shots of the Rowdy Dinosaurs. Ben's friend, Connor, and his family know this guy and he likes to take sports photos and has a great camera/lens. He decided to come out and take pictures of Connor and his teammates. We couldn't believe how the pictures turned out and loved seeing all the action shots. These are just captured off the site to document so that is why there is proof across them. There are a bunch of pics below as I couldn't decide on my favorites. We are ordering some of these and putting them in Ben's room!

Brooke's Walking and the Cozy Coupe

Brooke started walking a couple of days ago as her primary mode of transportation! She is enjoying being a big girl and is walking quite well. After taking many steps around 11 months she quit walking as much and has started back up. I don't think she will turn back this time!

She LOVES pushing the Cozy Coupe around the house and gets super excited when she has someone to push.

Rowdy Dinosaurs

Ben had his first outdoor soccer game Oct 2nd and the Rowdy Dinosaurs were dominant! We knew 3 other teammates because they were on Ben's indoor team this summer. It was nice to see familiar faces. Ben was super excited and had a great game. I can't remember if he scored 4 or 5 goals, but he did great and had lots of FUN! Brent was out of town so I was trying to video and didn't take any pictures.

Here are a few pics from his second game although they aren't very good! The Rowdy Dinosaurs were victorious again with another great performance. Ben's is super excited about soccer and has a daily countdown till his next game and practice!

One Of These Things Is Not Like The Other

One Of These Things Is Not Like The Other.......


Yep, the top one has Brooklyn's name spelled wrong. That would be her original birthday dress that I pulled out on Saturday night before her birthday party on Sunday night.

My first thought was I couldn't believe the lady spelled her name wrong. Then I looked back at the email and yes, that would be her mom that spelled her name wrong. How in the world could I have done that?? I felt horrible and couldn't believe what I had done. When I received her dress it was a VERY crazy day and I pulled it from the mailbox, quickly glanced at it, was glad it came early and threw it in her closet.

Better yet, she was suppose to have her professional first birthday pictures that Monday, Sept 20th. I wasn't as worried about her birthday party, but I couldn't have pictures of her made in a dress where her name was spelled wrong. I felt horrible and called Julie who was to take her pictures and explained the situation and she was very agreeable to postpone for a couple of weeks.

I still can't believe this happened and I had to document it as I was a very stressed out, crazy mom trying to figure out how to make it all work!
