Anniversary Trip

Brent and I's 10th anniversary is May 22. We decided we would celebrate it a little early this year. We headed to Cabo at the end of March and had a wonderful time. During the day, I preferred to lay out by the pool and relax with a book while this was not Brent's thing. So he would go hit golf balls or play a round of golf. I would meet him at the course and ride with him the last 9 holes each of the days he played. One of the courses he played was absolutely beautiful. The last 3-4 holes were right on the ocean. So glad I went. I was beginning to think the people around the pool thought I was on a vacation by myself, but I didn't mind!

A few nights we had dinner at the hotel and a couple of nights we went out in the city. It was a good mix. We really enjoyed all the relaxation and the beautiful scenery. A big thank you to, Grand, who kept the boys while we were gone. They had a blast with her and they all seemed pretty worn out when we got back.

A New Place to Sleep

We have been going through challenges with Ben before bed. Nothing major, he just won't go right to sleep and is always coming out of his room to ask us questions, make up injuries, etc. Tonight we had gone through the same old things and then he was quite. I heard him shut his door and I breathed a sigh of relief. About a hour later I heard him start to cry a little and I assumed he was coming downstairs. I went to the stairs to meet him to see what was wrong and this is what I found.......



Of course I was cracking up and very thankful he did not roll down the stairs. We could of had a major catastrophe. I had no idea he was not in his room. Yikes!

Spring Break

We had a great Spring Break! Blake wanted to go to the mall which we did with some friends and go to Planet Pizza. Planet Pizza is an indoor amusement park plus games and an indoor play area. He loved it. Ben did not want to ride any rides, but was happy to play games and in the play area.

Trampoline Fun

We got the boys a trampoline! It was a gift for Ben's birthday from us and then just a new spring time gift. They love to bounce and are always coming up with new games to play. This is their first time jumping. Well the first time was with our neighbors from next door so I decided for a second photo op with just Blake and Ben. It was funny. Our neighbors were anxiously waiting for Brent to finish putting the trampoline together. They were watching from their second story window and then decided to come over and get some first hand observation. The older one helped Brent tighten some screws. I don't know who was more excited......Blake and Ben or the neighbor kiddos.

Ben's 3rd Birthday

Ben turned 3 on February 16th. Yes, that was 2 months ago. Better late than never. We just had a small party with family and a few friends. This will probably be the last year we can have a small party so we took advantage of it. He had a great time and of course was spoiled with too many gifts.

Pajama Day/Crazy Hair Day

Today was Pajama Day and Crazy Hair Day at Blake's school. We decided to go with the classic mohawk. He thought he looked so funny. Very proud of the mohawk!

Ice Day

Last Wednesday we enjoyed the ice day. Blake was super excited to go outside and go ice skating. We got out the sled that was Brent's from when he was little. We pulled the boys around and then Blake got brave enough to slide down the big hill of our driveway (it's really just a slight decline but he did pick up some speed). He also liked playing on his fort and sliding down the ice slide. Then we were off to play with some friends where we had a great time. I love how our day changed from the usual crazy morning getting off to school and to bible study, and went to playing outside, enjoying our dad home for a little longer, and seeing friends.
