Field Day II

Blake's second field day was the last day of school. There were lots of games to play that were set up inside and outside. Blake's favorite was the spoon relay race with an egg!

Blake and his friend Gracie. Blake was giving everyone a high five and telling them to have a good summer. He got to Gracie and she wanted to give him a hug too. She was telling him how much she was gonna miss him and he was telling her he would miss her too. It was super sweet!

Field Day I

Blake had 2 field days at the end of the school year. The first field day was just for Kindergarten. His school joined 4 other local schools to enjoy lots of relays, walking on coffee cans, and hurdles. A good time was had by all.

Random Happenings

Here are a few random events that we had this spring.

The boys really wanted to celebrate our cat, Clyde's birthday aka Fuzzy. It was his 10th birthday and Blake convinced me that we should have a party and a cake for Fuzzy.

Soccer Party

Blake finished his second season with the Rockets. He and his team definitely improved a lot since the season in the fall. He was super excited about the soccer party and to get another trophy.

Easter

We had a great Easter this year. It was fun to do Resurrection Eggs with the boys leading up to Easter. We really tried to teach them why we were celebrating and it was neat to see all that Blake already knew and teaching him new things as well. They really enjoyed dying Easter eggs. We were able to have an Easter egg hunt at their cousins house on Sunday. It was raining so we had to have the hunt inside, but no one seemed to mind. They each came home with tons of eggs. We were able to spend Easter with both sides of the family. We were busy, but it was a great day!

Anniversary Trip

Brent and I's 10th anniversary is May 22. We decided we would celebrate it a little early this year. We headed to Cabo at the end of March and had a wonderful time. During the day, I preferred to lay out by the pool and relax with a book while this was not Brent's thing. So he would go hit golf balls or play a round of golf. I would meet him at the course and ride with him the last 9 holes each of the days he played. One of the courses he played was absolutely beautiful. The last 3-4 holes were right on the ocean. So glad I went. I was beginning to think the people around the pool thought I was on a vacation by myself, but I didn't mind!

A few nights we had dinner at the hotel and a couple of nights we went out in the city. It was a good mix. We really enjoyed all the relaxation and the beautiful scenery. A big thank you to, Grand, who kept the boys while we were gone. They had a blast with her and they all seemed pretty worn out when we got back.
