Ben's 5th Birthday

Ben decided that this year he definitely wanted a friend party, he wanted it at Bounce U, and that it would be a Super Mario theme. For the last several years he didn't want to have a party, so I guess now the he was ready he knew what he wanted. He was super excited to have friends from the neighborhood, soccer, and a few friends from school all come! Everyone seemed to have a great time.

Happy Birthday to our sweet Ben. Of course it's hard for me to believe that you are already 5 years old. You are full of energy and have such a kind heart. You are still shy around others until you warm up and hesitant to jump into something new. You are a major cuddler, always sitting super close to us on the couch and cuddling in our bed. You have done great at preschool and so ready to go to Kindergarten next year -( You love entertaining your little sister and are always teaching her new, crazy things that no 1 year old should be doing. She loves you so much and misses you when you are gone. You and Blake have a great relationship and enjoy playing games with your imaginary friends (like dragonland baseball, dragonland soccer). You have excelled in soccer and really enjoy playing. You are looking forward to T-ball later in the Spring. We love you so much and can't wait to see you continue to grow as a sweet boy!

Snow Days of 2011

This week was a crazy week of Texas winter weather. We might have 1 or 2 snow days off of school during the winter season, but often we don't have any. School was called off on Tues Feb 1 and these pictures are from Friday, Feb 4th. Blake had 4 straight days out of school! This is rarely heard of in Texas. The first days were mainly icy but the fun really started with all of this snow on the 4th. Of course Blake was super excited to be out of school and we made the most out of the unanticipated down time. Those 2 extra days off of summer vacation will hurt though! Thankfully we didn't have to make up all 4.

Ft Worth Rodeo

Unfortunately Ben was sick for the rodeo, but thankfully Grand was already planning on watching Brooke and kept Ben too. Blake was excited for our undivided attention and it was a great time. Just a few pictures of Blake having fun at the midway. We all enjoyed the rodeo as well with the family.
