Sneak Peek

I loved spending Christmas Eve night with my family, but the only bummer is that we always get home so late and don't get to finish our Christmas traditions on Christmas Eve night. So we quickly laid out our cookies, milk, and carrots for Santa and the reindeer and put some tired boys to bed. I couldn't resist the urge to get up in the middle of the night =) and see if Santa had come. Here is what I found....

Christmas with the Anglins

We celebrated Christmas with my family on Christmas Eve. We started by attending the Christmas Eve service at Aunt Shara's church. The idea of attending the service was good until it was snowing like crazy and she attends a ginormous church. It was pretty crazy trying to get into the service but we managed. It was a great service as we celebrated Jesus' birthday and all the kids were good!

Then we headed over to Aunt Shara's for a delicious dinner and wonderful Christmas celebration. The boys always love playing with their older cousins. The snow continued to pile up and we were amazed how much there was on our way home. It definitely snowed a lot more at Shara's house 20 min away than it did at ours, but we got a good bit. Could it be a white Christmas??

Gingerbread House

This afternoon the boys and I decided we would make our Gingerbread House. Of course I felt safer going with something in a box, as I have never made a Gingerbread House before (or at least I can't remember a time I have). They were all excited and were trying to be patient while I was constructing the house. I must say that doing the icing was extremely challenging for me. I think I got better as I went, bet there is definitely room for improvement. It was a fun activity that I hope to do in the years to come.

Christmas with the Baldwins

We celebrated Christmas with the Baldwin family the Sunday before Christmas. This was Brooke's first Christmas celebration! We had lunch at Brookhaven and then headed to Grand and Pops to open presents and watch the Cowboys. You might notice that the picture quality is a lot better. I received my Christmas present from my dad a little early. I love my new camera even though I'm still getting used to it.
